At a shop with a “Tax Free” or “Tax Refund” sign, show your passport when you pay and ask for an immediate tax refund. Each payment must be at least 15,000 won and under 1,000,000 won, and your total for the whole trip must be no more than 5,000,000 won.

Ask the participating store which refund process applies. Keep your purchase receipt and the required tax-refund documents until departure.

Ask whether the shop offers an immediate tax refund or a later refund. For a later refund, request the refund voucher: an ordinary sales receipt alone is not the required refund document.

Shinsegae Centum City lists HERNO and tax-refund services. Before paying, ask the HERNO cashier whether your purchase qualifies and which refund process applies.
