Good to know

  • Stamp boxes: the Danggogae Park fork and the Royal Azalea Park in Sanggye-dong. They are outdoors and the ink can dry out, so bring your own ink pad (official advice).
  • As a hard route it includes mountain paths. Wear shoes with good grip and carry water (KoreaClear advice).
  • Both the start and the finish are near Buramsan Station (Line 4), so getting back is easy.
  • Deongneung-gogae Pass lies on the border between Seoul and Namyangju. It is named after Deongneung, the tomb of Deokheung Daewongun, father of King Seonjo of Joseon. An eco-bridge lets both people and animals cross (official information).
