How do I travel between Korean cities?
Short answer
Choose the exact departure station or bus terminal, then check your route and date in the official booking service. City names alone can lead you to the wrong terminal.
Check the departure and arrival points on your ticket. This guide does not show live seats, prices or departures.
What to do
- Choose your route below and note the terminal or station names.
- Open the matching booking service; check your date and both endpoints.
- Keep your ticket and allow time to reach the departure point.
Check before relying on this
- These are official route or terminal references, not live availability. Check departure times, fares and seats for your date.
- Do not assume that the reverse journey uses the same terminal or timetable.
- A listed rail connection does not confirm every train stops at both stations. Check your chosen train.
- A terminal listing does not prove that foreign-card payment or online booking will work for every departure.

Busan to Mokpo
Start with Busan Seobu Bus Terminal at Sasang (부산서부/사상). Busan City lists Mokpo among its destinations. Check the travel-date departure before booking.
Jeonju to Busan
Check the express-bus route from Jeonju Express Bus Terminal (전주고속버스터미널) to Busan Central/Nopo (부산종합/노포). Official city guides list this connection; confirm the arrival terminal on your chosen departure.
Busan to Yeosu
Busan City lists Yeosu from both Seobu/Sasang and Central/Nopo. Compare the departures and use the terminal printed on your ticket.
Yeosu to Busan
Check the departure point carefully: Yeosu Bus Terminal (여수종합버스터미널, 268 Jwasuyeong-ro) and Yeocheon Terminal are different places. Confirm the Busan arrival terminal when choosing a ticket.
Gyeongju to Busan: a rail option
KORAIL’s Jungang Line connects Gyeongju with Bujeon in Busan. Search Gyeongju → Bujeon (경주 → 부전) for your date and confirm that the selected train stops at both. Bujeon is a different station from Busan Station.
Gyeongju to Andong: a rail option
The Jungang Line also connects Gyeongju and Andong. Search Gyeongju → Andong (경주 → 안동) in KORAIL and check both stops on the train you select.
Daegu to Busan: where to search for trains
For a KTX search, choose Dongdaegu → Busan (동대구 → 부산). Check that your ticket starts at Dongdaegu—not Daegu Station—and confirm the date and train before booking.
Boseong area to Mokpo
Check Korail for Sinboseong (신보성) → Mokpo (목포). Sinboseong is the station named in Korail’s official Mokpo–Boseong line announcement. The tea-field visit and transport to Sinboseong Station are not included in this route segment.
Andong to Hahoe Village
From Andong Station or Andong Bus Terminal, check bus 210 or Express 2 for Hahoe Village. Andong’s official tourism guide lists both for this area. This covers the local Andong connection only. A complete route from Mokpo to Andong has not been verified.
If online booking fails
An English booking page does not guarantee that every overseas card or phone number will work. Confirm ticket purchase with the official terminal or station before depending on a departure. Do not assume the return uses the same terminal or timetable.
