Where can I exchange cash and buy a T-money card?

Short answer

Separate the two steps: exchange your cash into won, then use an accepted method to load your T-money card. Confirm the exact counter and top-up point before assuming one machine does both.

What to do
  1. Identify your currency, arrival point and T-money card type.
  2. Ask the exchange counter for the net KRW amount.
  3. Buy a Tmoney Travel Card at a participating convenience store or the Incheon Airport bus ticket office; check the outlet’s stock and opening hours.
  4. Check the top-up point’s accepted payment method and verify the new card balance.

If that doesn't work

  • If a top-up point refuses your foreign card, top up with won in cash or try another top-up point.
Check before relying on this
  • Do not assume foreign-currency notes or a foreign bank card work at every top-up point.
