How do I find souvenir stamp locations and practical guidebooks?

Short answer

For English stamp information, use the official Visit Korean Heritage Campaign and its K-Heritage Passport Tour. For a paper planning book, Lonely Planet Korea is a country-wide option; Pocket Seoul is a compact Seoul-focused alternative for planning with teenagers.

What to do
  1. Read the English Passport Tour instructions and heritage-route pages, then choose stops matching your trip. The programme expanded to 100 sites across 13 routes in September 2026.
  2. Apply for the appropriate visitor passport on the campaign website. Foreign nationals use the red passport; the Korean Heritage Visitor Center at Incheon Airport T1 Transportation Center B1 offers pickup and a stamp. Check the latest notice for the additional Seoul pickup point.
  3. Stamp the matching passport page yourself at the official Self-Stamping Zone. Ordinary souvenir stamps do not qualify; if the zone is hard to find, ask the site information desk or call 1670-8904.
  4. For a physical book, choose the Book format rather than an ebook. Suggested approach for teenagers: let each choose a few sights from the book, then check opening/booking details on each official venue site.
Check before relying on this
  • Passport-tour souvenirs depend on passport type, verified stamps and stock; do not confuse a stamp route with a guarantee of a gift.
  • A printed guide is useful for browsing and discussion; its prices and operating details can age. The publisher currently lists Korea as a 2024 country guide and Pocket Seoul as a 2024 pocket guide.
