How do I apply for K-ETA safely and fix verification-email problems?
Short answer
Apply only through the official k-eta.go.kr website or its official app. If the verification email is missing, first check the entered address and spam filters, then use the official help channel rather than paying a lookalike site.
What to do
- Use only k-eta.go.kr or the official app; check whether you are exempt before paying.
- For a new non-member application, verify the email, enter passport/application information, review and pay. Members follow the account sign-in route.
- For a missing code, check the address, junk filtering and mailbox capacity, then read current service notices. These checks are suggestions, not a guaranteed repair.
- If you already applied, try Check Individual Applicant with passport number, birth date and either application number or passport expiry, or sign in to your member account.
- If still blocked, send the exact error and time through Ask Us; do not submit paid duplicate applications simply to recover a result.
Check before relying on this
- The official application fee is KRW 10,000, with an online payment fee charged separately; third-party service charges are separate.
- Do not submit duplicate paid applications simply to force an email to arrive.

The portal says assessment is generally within 72 hours; this is not a guaranteed deadline. Its membership option supports viewing results and updates without repeated email verification.
