KoreaClear · Travel answer
Why was my Korean visa refused, and how can I request clarification or reapply?
Short answer
“11 — Others” does not tell you the specific reason for refusal. Check the official result and ask the refusing mission how to request clarification and when a fresh application is allowed.
What to do
- Save the refusal notice and Visa Portal result.
- Send the mission your application number, refusal date and a concise request for any available reason and applicable reapplication rule.
- If reapplying, address the identified weakness with truthful supporting evidence rather than resubmitting an unchanged file.
Check before relying on this
- There is no single verified waiting period that applies to every mission.
- A new application, extra bank funds or a cover letter cannot guarantee approval.

Understanding the refusal
“Others” alone does not identify what evidence was insufficient. Keep the complete refusal notice and ask the office that refused the application what information it can disclose. Clarification, reapplication and any review procedure are different requests.
Before applying again
Ask that office for the applicable waiting period, whether an earlier application can be considered, and what documents it requires. Include your application number, passport nationality, refusal date and intended travel dates. Address any identified concern with truthful evidence; do not assume an unchanged application will produce a different decision.
